How can I post a link

When I copy a link from the browser control line and paste it into a discussion post, one of two things happens:

1. The software (default editor) looks up the link and converts it to the page title, very slick. When you click on that link in the post, the browser goes to the linked page. This works fine.

2. The link is posted exactly as it appears, "http:// etc." When you click on that link in the post, it reopens the same discussion page. Even though the visible link is correct, the hidden HTML anchor is the link to the current page. How can I post these links so readers can follow them? For example, this http://www.apple.com/feedback/appletv.html will link to the page you are viewing, not the Apple feedback page. Is it because it's not https? The same thing happens with entries in Apple on-line documentation. Is there any way to make these links useful?

The forum is suffering from yet another ailment. I've seen several reports of the same issue, as well as seeing the issue reported to the moderators.

It is UNrespnsive in the email = it "appears" to be a link in color and hover changes the cursor to the Finger - but it does nothing when left clicked. Right click does NOT show contextual menu choices one would expect for a live HyperLink

as an experiment, I copied the line and now paste it here

User uploaded file

EDITadded

This is getting way to weird... experiment with ALL the links in these two messages

BEFORE I edited, the link I pasted from the email WORKED as expected - now is in "limbo" like some others
