My Ipad Air 2 is slow to charge using the correct charger is there anything i can do?

You may need to power cycle the battery

Let it run down to 1% - if the iPad shuts off - restart it and allow to continue to drain to 1%

One the iPad reaches 1% - plug it back into the charger - do not let it sit too long or the battery may permanently die

Charge all the way up to 100%

I would start by trying a different cable and charger. Cable issues are common. The cable that comes with iPads is rather flimsy and can get easily damaged. Your battery could also be defective and may have to be tested an Apple Store.
