SuperDrive doesn't accept disks.

Hello there.

I've bought the new MacBook (2016) with Apple SuperDrive. I've also bought an adapter to be capable of using it. See here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B019PHF9UY/ref=psdc_281413_t1_B015YRD8PC

Before my hub had came, I tried the superdrive with a windows pc. It has worked properly, there was no problem with it.

And now I'm trying to get it work for my Macbook which I've been incapable of doing it so far. I've tried a lot of solutions I could find on the internet (Rebooting with the superdrive connected, when rebooting again clicking mouse button, PRAM reset, Resetting SMC (System Management Controller), editing "the apple.Boot.plist" file, (see here: Re: superdrive not loading discs after upgrading to el capitan Re: superdrive not loading discs after upgrading to el capitan). Everything I could find.

And my hub works propely with two of the usb ports with other usb type-a devices.

Can you help me with this problem?

Wouldn't the USB storage be your 1 TB drive? It appears to be connected.

I've been using El Capitan since it was introduced and there has been no issues for me.

No. It has been shown as Elements under USB 3.0, next to USB Storage. It is a different thing.

If it won't work with your adapter, it's probably your adapter. Amazon had othe choices that had much better reviews:

I'd say return it to Amazon, if you can.

More info, if you have an older Superdrive, made before 2010, this could be the issue: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202665

Oh yes. I've seen that page before. It says:

The following drives aren't compatible with the USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter or USB-C VGA Multiport Adapter:

G-Tech G-DRIVE mobile USB 3.0 Hard Drive

Apple USB SuperDrive manufactured before Fall 2010 (learn more).

But I've bought it with the new MacBook, so it shouldn't be a problem.
