ipad pro 9.7 update 9.3.2 issue

Today when I tried to update my IPad with the 9.3.2 update over wifi, after downloading the update and the install started like usual. Upon rebooting, I get the Connect to iTunes screen. I connect my iPad to iTunes and try to update it, says update failed and that I need to do a restore. The restore fails (error code 56). I tried all of the fixes from the help page with no luck. Any suggestions or do I need to send off my iPad for repair?

Thanks

I always backup before updating new version of ios because I had this pain before when my iPad 3th generation updated from ios 7 to ios 8 got bricked. I thought it was because my device was kind of old so that happened. But this time i have learned one more thing. A one month new "PRO" device also can be bricked with a lovely pop-up update remind that I totally didn't expect it would happen so i didn't backup and ending up losing all data. Good lesson Apple.
