How to reset play count in iTunes 12.4?

Hi Steve, this is a little off topic but I fixed a bug in your SetLastPlayedByAlbum script and can't see where to pm you the fix on this website or on your home page. The bug caused compilations to group by Artist not by AlbumArtist. The same logic bug is in 5 places and the fix is easy, replace this line:

A=.AlbumArtist & "" : If A="" And .Compilation Then A="Various Artists" Else If A="" Then A=.Artist & ""

with this:

A=.AlbumArtist & "" : If A="" Then If .Compilation Then A="Various Artists" Else A=.Artist & ""

Apple fixed this issue in iTunes 12.4.1 update.

iTunes 12.4.1 out: restores crossfade & play count reset

The fix does not work well. It crashes if you select large number of files to reset. Works only if you select few songs.

You are assuming more knowledge than some people have. What is a script editor? How do I copy something into it? Please give a step by step process for those who are a little less techie.

Upgrade to iTunes 12.4.1 and you no longer need to use a script. The reset plays feature has been restored.

The Script Editor can be found in Applications > Utilities on a Mac.

You can copy the script by selecting the text on the web page that you want to copy, pressing CMD+C, then switch to the text editor which should be opened to a new empty workspace and press CMD+V. You can then save it and run it when you wish.

Reset Play Count has been moved. At least in iTunes 12.5 and up (not sure about 12.4) Secondary click > Get Info > Reset under Details next to Play Count

@Apple: this feature should be put back in iTunes. Does not make sense to have to use a custom script for such a simple task (which was already there...)
