Loud static randomly
Hello,
I'm using
Mid 2014 Macbook Pro Retina 15'
Still working off of OS X 10.9.5
Logic Pro X 10.2.2
I/O: Avid Fast Track Duo
KRK Rokit 5's and KRK Subwoofer
So whenever I'm using Logic just doing whatever, within maybe the second hour all of my audio coming out turns into a (really) loud static/white noise; louder than I can even turn up my USB interface. Nothing shows up through the master or any track specifically and as long as I keep Logic open all other audio (from ITunes) will also be distorted loud white noise. Whenever I bounce things this white noise has never shown up.
I checked the Avid knowledge base and I was directed to update my drivers... which sadly didn't work. I increased my I/O buffer size all the way up as well. The only other thing worth noting is that whenever I stop the Logic track from playing I can hear signals of the reverb or the release of several instruments trailing off, like usual, but distorted.
The only way for me to give it a temporary fix is to quit Logic and then re-open Logic and everything is fine, for another hour or two. I have only heard one or two people on other external forums having this same problem to which were never fixed to my knowledge, or were fixed by increasing buffer size. This isn't only just annoying but very harmful to my hearing. Multiple times on different accounts I can hear my ears ringing only after a half second of this static. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Kalebh
