Mac Wifi connected but no connection

Hello everyone,

I have a 13 inch Macbook Air OS X El Capitan 250Gb. I am having this Wifi connection problem for the past few weeks and this is what is happening:

My Macbook is connected to the internet. Full bars, wifi signal and speed all normal. But whenever I try to browse sites, it does not load. For example: If I am using Google Chrome then "The xxxxx page isnt working" with ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE error. I tried it on Safari and same thing happens. Also, other internet connection needed applications were not working either. Steam couldn't load anything.

When I tested it on the Safe Boot mode, everything works perfect. I can browse the web, no errors and everything was working fine. And when I restart and normally boot my computer, the problem goes back. I just cant do anything and really stuck in a quagmire. Please help me.

Things I have done so far to fix the issue but did not work:

Resetting the SMC and NVRAM.

Deleted some "plist" files from system configuration and made a new location on the network.

Scanned my Mac for viruses but there is none.

Used Wifi Assisstant and Diagnostics. Says internet connection working fine.

Cleaned and reset my browsers.

Ran First Aid on Disk Utility.

On Recovery Mode, ran all First Aid on my Disk Utility. (The Safari was working fine in there)

Used Onyx to clean my computer.

I have contacted my ISP and they say it is working fine on their end. Somebody please help me I am starting to lose hope and drives me nuts. Thank you.

MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2014), OS X El Capitan (10.11.5), 250Gb

Remove the avast from application folder and if in download into the trash .

Click on go > computer > macintosh HD > library > remove related files of avast from launch agents , launch daemons , privileged Helper tools into trash .

Then click on go > hold option key > library > move files related of avast from folders application support , preferences .

and remove one adware that is in report in the trash : /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.followUpd.plist.

Finally restart from apple logo > empty the trash .

Regarding the extensions folders :

we remove the contents of it when major safari issues occur other wise not .

We can not judge about if any malware is there in system but etrecheck report is the finest way to find out the malware .

note : do not download any anti virus in future and the more malicious app or broken apps are downloaded the more are the issues in the system .

First of all delete AVAST and that malware , if system is still not joining the server the settings in your ISP modem and airport express might be incorrect .

Hello everyone! I have solved my issue. I deleted the unknown files and the adware inside my Library folders and when I restarted it, everything works normal now. Thank you for everyone in participating to solve this problem and I really hope this issue will not happen again (To be honest I really wish this doesn't happen again because it took me like straight 2 days). Thanks again 🙂
