New update for Pages 09?
I like to know whether apple will provide new update for pages 09 in the near future.
Please give information about this. Pages 09 is already dead or not?
OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)

Just upgrade to the latest OSX. I have.
If you had Pages '09 v4.3 it will still be there and still work. Just don't wipe your hard drive clean.

Hi Peter,
Can you confirm that Pages 4.3 (and Keynote 5.3 for that matter) work in Mac OS Sierra? Unfortunately, none of my existing documents will display correctly with the newest versions, so I'm still running these from iWork 09.
Thanks.
Okay, thanks, I'll give it a try after I back up everything.
Since Sierra has not yet been released, any posts would be considered speculation & not allowed in these forums. Come back on September 20 (after 10 am Cupertino time) for responses.
I upgraded to OS 10.11.6 successfully, and Pages 4.3 works fine. This may be a dumb question, but what will happen if I update Pages to 5.6.2 now? Will I lose 4.3? Thanks.
Yes. You will lose that.
You should make new folder in Applications folder. (Click applications icon in the Finder's sidebar)
Move pages, numbers, and keynote in the new folder.
After that you can install pages 5 without losing pages 4.
Not true, you will not lose any of the iWork 09 Apps, they will be automatically moved to iWork '09 folder.
Peter
Any update on this now that Sierra has been released?
According to Peggy who has installed Sierra, Pages '09 v4.3 still works as well as ever.
Peter
In using Pages 4.3 & Numbers 2.3 in Sierra for the last couple of months I have not had any issues in my every day use.
Since upgrading to El Capitan, I am unable to download and install the current Pages. Also, on my late 2009 Macbook pro, I cannot upgrade to Sierra. Looks like the latest Pages is not an issue anymore.
