How do I block spam calendar invitation emails?

All of a sudden this week I started receiving emails from noreply@email.apple.com asking me if I want to subscribe to various obviously spam calendars such as:

"Subscribe to Apple Trusted’s “Longchamp Discount Event” , Find the latest styles and save up to 70% OFF" calendar?"

This is truly annoying. I have searched all over trying to figure out how to fix this and why it started happening but have found nothing. Is anyone else experiencing this or know how to make it stop?

Having the exact same issue. I originally started getting emails, and now the reminder app continues to pop up with notifications every few hours. I have reset my settings and my phone completely with no luck - thinking it might have something to do with the Apple ID itself? Incredibly irritating, am thinking of popping into a Genius Bar/Store and seeing what they say.

I just got one of these... There's no way to remove it from the calendar without responding to it in some way. I can't mark it as spam, I can't delete the request without notifying the user... This is complete garbage, I need a way to remove these spam requests without letting the spammer know they hit a valid email.

I've tried what MPC6 suggested, we'll see if I don't get any in the future or if they just have to hit my email beforehand, maybe that will let me mark them as spam in my email?

Regardless, this obvious lack of functionality in the Apple Calendar program is just that, a lack of NEEDED FUNCTIONALITY, and needs to be addressed.

Thanks but will this turn off any other meeting request for which I haven't confirmed ? If yes, this is not the solution. And by the way, why apple doesn't answer with a solution to this ? I guess because they don't have any. I (and all apple phone users), might not be satisfied with workarounds. We want a sustainable solution.

But thanks a lot for trying to help... We appreciate.

HI I've just had the same thing happen and have a quick and simple solution. Go go calendar, add the organizer of the meeting to your contacts, it appeared in red on my iphone for some reason, back out to home, go into contacts, find said contact, scroll down to' block contact' and select, invitation will disappear and contact will be blocked for the future.

This has been happening to me as well. I didn't want to hit "decline" or "delete" because that would engage with the SPAMMER.

- If you don't use iCloud as your primary calendar, using the "calendar delete" method described in the post above might work. I did it for good measure.

- I also changed the settings in iCloud to receive all calendar invitations as email, rather than"IN APP".

So far, so good.

I started to receive these after my last IOS update. There are lost of glitches with this last update (IOS 10.1.1)

I am having Iphone "fatigue" and said I would never buy an Android, but am seriously considering it. Apples software for the iphone and ipad is so dated and I am asking why I ever paid this kind of money for a phone and a tablet.
