Brightness controls not working (Windows 10)

Does anyone know how I can get the brightness function keys to work again?

Running Windows 10 on a 2015 MacBook Pro with the AMD Radeon R9 M370X chipset. The brightness keys worked fine when I first set it up, but at some point I updated the driver software, and the function keys stopped working. Now the only way to change the brightness is by opening the Radeon Settings software.

Any help?

OK, I managed to uninstall the Apple keyboard driver and reinstall it as you suggested above. However, the brightness keys still aren't working.

Anyway, thanks for all your help, Loner T. As always, it is much appreciated!

Do any Apple special keys work on the Keyboard? Just to confirm, is this an Apple Keyboard? If you have an Apple USB keyboard, does that work properly?

Yes, the sound volume keys work properly. Yes it's an Apple keyboard, the one built into it (this is a MacBook Pro laptop.)

Can you run the full setup.exe from a Bootcamp BC6 driver package and test? Please create Windows System Restore point first.

OK, I tried that. I'm now running Boot Camp Services version 6.0.6136.

No change, the brightness keys still don't work.

The built-in Keyboard is connected to a USB 2.0 hub internally. Do you have any USB driver issues?

In W10 -> Control Panel -> Services, can you check if any Apple services are stopped?

I haven't had any USB issues I know of. The only other issue I've had is with the SDXC card slot, which often does not respond when I insert a card.

I checked the services -- there are no Apple services stopped.

If you have an external keyboard, you can delete the internal keyboard from Device Manager as a test and check if it works after re-installation.

Yes, I do have an external keyboard. What exactly should I delete from the Device Manager? There's Apple Keyboard under HID (I already tried removing and reinstalling that) and two entries for HID Keyboard Device under Keyboards (see post above with screenshots).

After you connect the USB, look for your internal keyboard in Device Manager tree. Right-click on it, and uninstall and then delete the device. You can then scan for hardware changes and check if the device comes back.

If your external USB keyboard is an Apple USB keyboard, can you test the special keys?
