My Mac wont let me click on certain apps?

I have a MacBook Air with El Capitan 10.11.3

So this only started up today, but what has happened is, is that when I open up microsoft apps like Word, PowerPoint, etc. I can't click on anything, I try to click full screen, nothing, I try to click to close it, nothing, just clicking on anything doesn't work, I have to force quit the app. But this doesn't happen just with microsoft apps, it's happening with the Messages app (iMessage), the App Store so I can't update the laptop so I can't check if thats the problem, and thats all I know that don't work so far. But it seems to work fine in Chrome and Spotify, and that's all I know that work so far. I've tried force quitting the apps and reopening them and shutting down my laptop and turning it back on but nothing is working. If anyone knows whats wrong or how to fix the problem that would be lovely.

Thanks.

So everything freezes.

Remove all entries in SystemPreferences->Users&Groups->LoginItems, with the minus sign underneath, then restart. Then:

It could well be software that does not belong: anything installed Antivirus, Cleaner, Booster, and what have you?

If, uninstall that, then restart.

Also waiting for the etrecheck list, see one of the posts above.

I've had the tablet since christmas, but the tablet only works when plugged into a power source and plugged into my laptop through the hdmi and usb port. I can't be the tablet or the pen because I use this laptop for school and I still encounter this problem at school. My Bluetooth is also turned off because I barely need to use AirDrop or anything Bluetooth related.

1. As 71 says: The wacom software is suspect at the moment, uninstall it (see a lot of other threads.

2. Even more disturbing is the Sophos software (Endpoint protection) you should uninstall it, it is counterproductive.

3. Uninstall bittorrent: it is very unsafe and sends out details about you and your mac when being used.

4. remove Meraki software. It looks as if you already did that, but there is still a LaunchDaemon running.

5. Soundflower as in point 4, kexts running.

6. You do not need any Huawei software, this software is badly programmed, and the mac can handle the cards without these drivers.

7. I don't see any reason to have ZTE drivers (Zeuss) installed either.

8. I am not sure why SIP is disabled, Microsoft software perhaps? Updating the Microsoft software eliminates this need.
