iOS 9.3.3 broke iBooks store on iPad

After the 9.3.3 iOS update (7/19/2016), the iBooks store will not open on my iPad Pro 9.7, nor will it open on my iPad Mini 4. My books works fine, just the Featured, Top Charts, etc. will not open. iBooks works fine on my iPhone 6S and iMac.

  • Try a forced restart: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the restart.

Having the same issue on a 12.9" iPad Pro and an iPad Air 2. Both are running iOS 9.3.3. (Don't recall this happening before I did the update...)

Attempted the hard-reboot and signing in & out of the App Store. No success.

As with the others, the "My Books" tab is fine, the other 5 (Featured, NY Times, Top Charts, Top Authors and Purchased) all display as blank screens.
