Dreamweaver

Reading all the above (previous) postings with interest...
I, too, have problems getting dreamweaver to upload.

I have installed it on my intel imac -- it works fine -- until I try to connect to the server. It is not a server issue...I am able to upload from another computer...I am able to upload using Fetch (but fetch isn't as neat or detailed as the Dreamweaver interface)

I've looked both here and at Adobes website and can't find any thing that might help...

When a you are talking about connecting "to the server"...are you talking about a web host? network environment? or what?

The key to getting it to work is not install direct from the disks - do not migrate it over. The other problem is that if you are installing the entire Studio suite, leave off VersionQue as it is not working with Rosetta - at least it wasn't before. I never use it anyway and rememeber reading that it was an issue a few months back.

The district hosts our websites ..
So I upload our files from our local computer to the remote location....to the district's web server. (I think -- smile)

PReviously, the local computer was an emac (10.4.8) and everything worked fine...in fact I've gone back to using that computer to upload files...
When I installed Dreamweaver on the new computer it installed fine, I can work on pages without a problem....but.... on the intel mac -- there is no connection to the server.

I can connect using Fetch...but the dreamweaver interface is more user-friendly.

Have to say I received my new 20" Intel iMac yesterday. I too use Studio 8 (amongst other programmes) and I used the migration assistant.

It has been fantastic and saved soooo much time!

My Dreamweaver is working fine and is uploading fine too, so (fingers crossed) it has all been so easy!

Or am I tempting fate and it is all going to go horribly wrong tomorrow.....?

i have the same problem, I just installed Dreamweaver MX to an intel macbook, and I can't upload (make ftp connection)...the program crashes when attempting to do so...
