Virus on iPhone?

Hi!

When I browsed a website (a blog) in Safari the page directed me to a site named [ m e g a . v i r a l - c o n t e n t . s i t e ] after a while, and it made me suspicious. The page said that I needed to upgrade my iPhone to the latest version. The website had a pop-up with the text about the upgrade and a "close"-button, and after clicking close the page said pretty much the same thing again. I shut down Safari and visited the blog again (it is a "normal" blog on a big blog platform here in Sweden, and I have visited it multiple times before without this error) and the same thing happend again. When I googled this problem seems to have appeared today for some other user as well. What should I do? I am afraid it might be some kind of virus...

May I ask another question about "malaware". If I understood it correctly it tries to fool you to give them your credit card number, personal information etc. by saying that you've won something or whatever. But is it still safe for me to use my "personal apps", like my bank app? Or does the malaware infect the phone just by Safari opening the mega.viral-content.site?

Emelie, there is actually no know link or whatever who can install an application on an iphone without requesting your permission, so you have ZERO risk my feeling with your other applications ... That's if you just close the Bad site when it pop and don't install anything from there .... (If one can confirm that .. Thanks ...)

Charles, if just read a bit before to post a comment, clear internet cache DOESN'T fix it ... That was said, and i have the problem on my Iphone 6 plus ..
