NFL Sunday Ticket on Apple tv 4, Where's the App?

To whom this may concern;

I've read countless articles this year/month that NFL Ticket was coming to apple TV 4 for the 2016 season. You can imagine my excitment as I don't have Directv... Anyways I've been going to the channel app store frequently and have yet to find the NFL Sunday Ticket App. Am I missing something? We're already in pre week 1. Is it possible that the NFL Sunday Ticket will be embedded within the NFL app curently in store? I'v done alot of research but cant find a straight answer other than its coming. Any help greatly appreciated

All the best,

I Actually called Directv about this same issue and the customer service rep said there was an app in the App Store available for download. I told him that there wasn't and he insisted there was. that was a week ago and there still isn't an app. So either one hasn't been released yet or even the customer service guys have no idea what they're doing and just feeding their customers BS (Which is what I'm banking on)

No sign of a dedicated Apple TV 4 app for this. Looking at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/directv/id307386350 and https://support.directv.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3426 it would seem that AirPlay is an option if you have a suitable device and buy the right package. Nothing so elegant as a custom app with the ability to pay for what you want to see without commitment to anything else.

I'm with y'all on this. I have Apple TV3 and just purchased Apple TV4 because I discovered I'm eligible for Sunday Ticket sans DirecTV. So I have a new Apple TV4 and Sunday Ticket ordered, and presently no way to connect the two by way of an app. They've got about 3 weeks to release the app or I'm certain there's going to be a lot more upset customers.

I supposed in the interim I will buy the Roku or another device that has the app confirmed.

Looks like we're all in the same boat. I had NFLST last year and was streaming via my PS4 but the feed was awful - I suspect PSN may have been part of the problem and I wasn't going to renew. Then I heard that it would be available on Apple TV 4 so I renewed, purchased my new Apple TV and started setting it up last night. No app to be found. Although it doesn't mention ATV 4 this is the closest thing to an answer I can find on the NFLST/DirecTV site:

"The NFL SUNDAY TICKET App will be available for download in early September before the start of the regular season on the Xbox Live Marketplace, PlayStation Store, Roku Channel Store or Windows Store. Please check back for future updates."

Great to see that I am not the only one with this issue....Like Alantry, I have called Directv and been told it's there...but I am sure they are referring to the App for the iPhone. None for AppleTV. This really poor management on Directv/SundayTicket's part...They don't seem to know what's what.... or do they?

I suggest everyone Twitter @DirectTVService & @ATTCares (owners of DirectTV) Ask them to clear this mess up!!!

If the App is coming.... just let us know. If these is no App we deserve to know that, as well.

Same here. Just spoke to NFL Sunday Ticket support and they said they are waiting for Apple to release the app...no ETA. Then I called Apple....the guy I spoke with didn't have a clue. Kept trying to direct me to the NFL Network app. Says he has no idea...and his best guess is that they are waiting for NFL Sunday Ticket to release the app to Apple. So basically a lot of finger pointing back and forth.

Of course, they are both making tons of money in the meantime with these promises and advertising. So I hope the app becomes available before the season starts...or may be a potential false advertisement lawsuit.

Update.... Monday, I received a call from Ms. Emily Mitchell from ATT's Office of the President -- she was basically unaware of the "no-app" problem. I gave her a rundown of the issue and she said she would try to find out more. I have not heard back from her.( Not holding my breath) -- What's most interesting here is she called me based on my tweets to @ATTCares.

Obviously no one at Directv customer Support knows: 1. There's a problem. 2. The solution.

Here's what i think we should do...

Ask the following questions via the social media platforms:

Does Directv have or are they developing the Sunday Ticket app for ATV4 ?? -- Will it be available in the AppleTV store before the beginning of the 2016 season ( Sept 8, 2016) ?

The answer would appear to be simple.....IF you ask the right person.

John Stankey is CEO of ATT Entertainment Division --Don't know how, but i bet if he was asked this question, he would know the answer or get the answer withing 5 minutes. Remember, ATT is a public company...they should be responsible to their customers and shareholders of which i am both.

Get the question out there! Get creative!
