how do i disable the Music app appearing on iphone locked screen

The Music app appears as an icon on the lock screen on iphone AND occassionally instead of the lock screen wallpaper, an album cover & music controls appear on it.

If I wanted the album cover on my lock screen i would choose it as wallpaper.

Please can anyone help me stop the Music app appearing on my lock screen.

Many thanks.

Same thing was happening to me. I figured out that if you swipe up to open the control center, then open the iPod (music). I had to hold my finger on it for about 3 seconds then you tap on a lighter grey area around the outside of the iPod, it will actually close the app and remove it from your lock screen. Same thing when you’re swiping between apps, to actually get to your home screen you have to tap on the lighter gray area around the outside of the apps.

Hello, I have been having the same problem and it drives me nuts. Today I did a chat with support and one of the things they asked me is if I headphones connected, which I don't. He then asked me to check if anything in Bluetooth was connected. There wasn't any connections. So while I was waiting, I decided to turn off Bluetooth to see if it would do anything and when I checked my lockscreen the music player was off. Then, I went back into Bluetooth and turned it back on, went back to lockscreen and the music player is still off. So far it has stayed off and its been about 20 minutes. I don't know if it will happen again but if it does I'll just turn off Bluetooth again. I don't know if this will help you but I just thought I would share, good luck and take care

I tried all the suggestions- only a hard reset worked. To Apple engineers: This is not about the music player appearing in the control center as a widget, it’s about it appearing on the lock screen when you lift the phone to see the time.

This is ridiculous. Everytime I plug in a cord, the music player shows up on the lock screen and NEVER goes away.

Apple expects me to turn off soft/hard/or otherwise the phone to make it go away every time????

Between this and botching the Bluetooth antenna on/off/"off for 24 hrs" setting. It is a mess.

By the way, I just posted the same reply (see above) a few minutes prior and had it removed, so I removed a couple of benign words then reposted it to see if they remove it again. This feels very reminiscent of being controlled and censored since I only expressed my frustration using the language kids use in elementary school. Apple is batting zero today.

This is a the same issue again before your previous update that fixed it. Since Apples last update the issue has reoccurred. I don't even have the music setting on. This appears to occur every time I turn my car off and the radio has been on. Please fix this issue which is very annoying. I have to continually turn my phone off and on again when I get out of my car.
