Why can't I leave a group message in iOS 10?

I recently updated to the first installment of iOS 10. There is a group chat in my messages that I no longer wish to be a part of. I can't figure out how to leave the conversation though.

i did the following steps.

1: Opened the message/conversation

2; Tapped the little "details" icon in the top right

3: I scrolled down but there is not a button that says "Leave Conversation"

it is very weird because I have another group chat that I am a part of and when I check on it, there is a button that says "Leave Conversation". I don't understand why one group chat has the button, but the other one doesn't.

iPhone 6s, Operating System is 10.0.1

I didn't and am not part of the beta download and mine doesn't have it either.

Go to group message, swipe to the left, select more then select leave group

Wow! really? They shouldn't even removed the Leave group conversation.

You can try going to Settings>Messages, and turning MMS Messaging and Group Messaging Off and then back on again to see if that will help.

I'm a group chat administrator and. Ow I can't remove ppl I guess because there's an android user on the chat. Not sure what to do. Come on Apple, this should be fixed.

This is not correct. As you can see by the several posts above yours, if one of the people in a group chat is an Android user, then you cannot remove yourself from the chat.

I simply just turn on the do not disturb for the group and that silences the chat. Not the permanent fix I want but works for now.
