OSX 10.11.6: Bootcamp starts Windows 10 setup without mouse and keyboard support on Macbook 2016

Hi all,
I'm running Bootcamp on OSX 10.11.6. I create a Windows Partition with 56 GB in size. After the Partition is created Bootcamp copies Windows Setup files and restarts. Windows Setup opens but I can't interact with the UI because neither Keyboard nor mouse work. So I plugged in an external Keyboard which worked. After confirming the language and Region Screen an error message appears: missing media Drivers. Windows wants me to select a Folder where These Drivers can be found.
What can I do to solve this? I tried the procedure with ISO-Images of Windows 10 and Windows 10 (Aniversary)

Any ideas?

Please post the Product Version from Bootcamp.xml.

Hi LonerT, no joy on finding that file on my BOOTCAMP or MacOS volumes. The version Bootcamp Assistant reports is '6.1.0' in the Info box of the application binary.

Tell me where to look for this /xml file and I'll chase it down. Thanks so much for your help.

So here is how I solved the issue on my MacBook 12 (2016). It was very time comsuming but worked:

1. Create a Time Machine backup of the MAC.

2. Restart MacBook and hold down Command-Option-R to get into OSX online recovery.

3. Reinstall OSX. The version which the MacBook was shipped with will be used. In my case it was an older release of El Capitan.

4. Go through the installation until OSX is usable.

5. Run Bootcamp and install Windows.

6. After Windows is installed, restore Time Machine backup.

7. Done!

Do you see the Action menu in Bootcamp Assistant?

Download the BC6 driver package for your specific Mac to a USB flash drive and then check Bootcamp.xml file on the USB.

The solution is bad but it works. You only use El Capitan to do the

BootCamp thing. After that you use your backup to restore your MAC

partition. In the end you will have Sierra and Windows working.

If BCA provided this version and you are trying to install W10, this will work. Please disconnect all external storage, run the following two procedures, and retry.

Reseting SMC and NVRAM did not help in my case. The only thing that helped was a downgrade of Bootcamp. I did that by downgrading El Capitan. After Windows was installed I went back to Sierra.
