iOS 10 Install killed my iPhone

Downloaded iOS10 on iPhone 6s Plus -128GB.

Started Install

Screen goes blank halfway through.

Turn phone back on.

iTunes symbol with plug into computer message.

Phone needs to be restored.

This is absolute garbage Apple. This is the second time this has happened to my phone in 3 months. The first time was randomly perusing safari when the whole darn thing froze. No clue as to why it happened. This time was during your upgrade.

Now when I connect my phone to iTunes it says it cannot connect to upgrade server. Thanks Apple. You know, before I switched over to an Apple phone, I had my fair share of problems with Android, but it never EVER completely botched it's own upgrade.

Hi,

I have the same issue as many others and it showed the connect to itunes whilst updating. I have done this (2.5 hours ago) only to keep getting "unknown error" messages. I have tried the restore from itunes option as suggested but when I click on devices, all the options such as 'sync, restore from back up etc" are grey and un-clickable!! What do I do? I am unable to use my phone!

Thanks

Kate

People are getting frustrated and hooking up to iTunes and making wrong selections. Be patient. When you have the connect to iTunes screen open up iTunes (latest version) on your computer and THEN connect your phone. Sit on your hands and wait for the device to be recognized and then an Apple server will be contacted to verify the software on your phone. It may take a while as the Apple servers are probably busy. Just wait for it.
