iOS 10 Music App Missing Artist Icons

Yeah and it's bad enough with a generic icon but why such a hideious one??? The baby blue and pink colors are fine for new parents but so horrible looking to normal people. And why a microphone when half of all music is instrumental with no vocals at all. Grrrrrr. Getting closer to trying Android the more Apple makes stuff worse and worse.

Don't compound the ridiculousness of this issue with something even more ridiculous. Music on Android is hideous at best. On the music side alone, although I am sure there is software to make life easier, the out of box experience of manually dragging and dropping media files is horrific for me when I have such a highly structured folder system comprising over 20,000 songs.

This does stink like a money grab to force more folks into Apple Music and away from their own collections. Not cool, but let's keep our heads here!

This really is so aggravating. Who wants to open up their prized music collection and see some icon that has nothing to do with anything. Our artists are in our iTunes because we love them. Digital music is tough enough to feel close to already, with having no album in our hand, no CD insert to flip through, no lyrics, no recording information, no going through the "thanks" to see who we want to appreciate. And now we have to see all our beloved artists looking like they aren't important enough to have a chosen image? Ugh to the UGH, Apple!

Please fix this in an upcoming update. It would be cool if we could pick the icon as well?

I love music and meticulously take the time review and correct the info for each album, including the artwork.

I would like to take this issue further and would love to have a feature where we could specify an image for the artist, instead of relying of Apple's image selection.

Basically, I hope Apple fixes your concern, but then also provides an image override feature for each artist where we can control the artist image for our library!

Fully agree and the circles for the photos is also so wrong and ugly. I feel Apple has really lost its way with music and iTunes since Steve Jobs died. Spotify is 100x better than the crap Apple is producing and the shame of to all is Apple used to be a leader of great music applications.

I have the same problem too. Make sure to check on iTunes store the artist name, and write exactly like how it appears on iTunes store. Like Jay-Z, they changed it into JAY Z. I changed that, and the artist icon (jay z picture) appear. But still, some of the artist icons are missing.

What the **** are they doing? Upgrading and making an inferior, less user friendly interface. Sad and annoying. No, it really is just LAME.

I'm have the same problem. However, when I drag the song to my music, the wrong artist and album cover appears. This is very aggravating. I lost all my music when I updated to IOS 10 even though I backed up my phone. Now I can't add my music with the correct artist and album cover.

Really disappointing, too many artists without icon

It is more than annoying that i could describe. We would be able to choose the artist's images as we like.

i downloaded IOS 10 a week after it's release and noticed the same thing.. i was ****** off after all that work getting artwork... i went back to IOS 9.3.5 the same day! i won't upgrade to IOS 10 unless this is fixed... i am happy with IOS 9.3.5. Apple needs to fix this issue....makes no **** sense!

This isn't exactly aggravating for me, but I definitely noticed the missing artist icons.

I've also noticed that, recently, icons have been "repopulating" bit by bit. A few months ago, I had only one artist icon. Now, it's up to fifteen. I don't know why this happens...but I'm finding out.
