iOS 10 Mail delete all function?

Good work, Marc! That does solve the problem. I hope Apple brings back the Trash All capability in the next version of the iPhone operating system.

It is as always when it comes to client services with Apple - they don't care. Even on their own discussion-board, where is my Blackberry :-)

'Delete All' is not available in ios10

The apple response is not accurate. ios10 shows markall in blue but there is no delete all in blue. The only options that show are those in the original question. Please provide an accurate response to this issue. Pretty annoying to have to delete all the junk one email at a time.

I Just now discovered how to delete all. Try it it works!!!

1. Go to your Inbox folder.
2. Tap on the "Edit"-Button on the top right.
3. Select the first email in your list.
4. Hold down the "Move" button.
5. While you are still holding the "Move"-Button, deselect the first E-Mail.
6. Put away all your fingers from the screen and wait a few seconds.
7. Now Mail asks you where to move ALL of your emails.

Follow these instructions and you should be able to delete all messages in a folder.

1. open the Mail app
2. select the Mail folder you want to empty
3. in the upper right hand corner tap Edit
4. at the bottom you should see Mark All and Delete All in blue
5. select Delete All and it will ask you again, Delete All or Cancel
6. select Delete All and it will delete all the email in that folder

This is the functionality we had in iOS 9. iOS 10 does not work this way. There is no Delete All.

I tried this and somehow ended up with 448 supposedly unread emails but can't seem to find them anywhere. They were originally deleted but now seem to be "ghost" emails. I've emptied the trash and all other folders, rebooted my iPad 3 times and still can't find them to delete them. Very annoying!

I wish Apple would provide better, more concise release notes when pushing out a new version!

Almost the same for me. Now all messages are deleted, but mail is still occupying 1,2 Gb of memory. No message is in the trash can, I did the soft reset three times... don't know what else I can try.
