Activity sharing not working at all

I'm having problems with activity sharing. I have two friends, both are on iOS 10 and watchOS3. I can add them, they get the notification and agree and then NOTHING happens. The wheel in the activity app on iOS keeps spinning and spinning. Anyone experienced this? Tried to delete the invitations and re-submit, but not working either.

You need to be a little clearer in your terminology - what I think you mean is "unpairing" in the sense of briefly stopping Bluetooth on your iPhone. In that case, yes, it is a simple process.

However, there is another use of "unpair" from the Apple Watch app, which is a far more serious affair: your Watch is completely reset and the only way to get it working again is a "set up as new" or "restore from backup". For this, you need to set aside a good 40 minutes, and be prepared to go through the process of adding your credit/debit cards back to the Watch afterwards.

True, I think I needed to be more clear. I tough all of us clearly discussed about the watch unpair/pair full procedure, not just the Bluetooth. The Bluetooth unpair/pair will only disconnect/connect locally and will most likely not solve the issue as it looks like the issue is more related to the iCloud sync. Try to do a Watch completely reset and then "set up as new" or "restore from backup". I suggest "restore from backup" so that you'll have it the way you had it before. This is what I did and it takes about 30 minutes (it varies based on each user content).

I have exactly the same problem... the invitation is accepted, they can see my activity data, but I can't see theirs.

Both of us have tried rebooting devices, unsharing, re-sharing. I have tried a full unpair and re-pair of my Watch, restoring from backup. Last thing to try is for the other person to do that, but is this really the solution? Seems rather drastic, just to get a relatively trival feature to work.
