Aloha Bob. waldhaus1 has solved our problem, see Two page Landscape view. When you reduce the font, it suddenly switches to 2-column. Apparently, we had our fonts set too large. Not very nice, though. These are two different aspects, now linked to one setting. Haven't I read somewhere that that's not a good thing to do? Cheers, Di.

I "hear" y'all saying that after iOS 10, iBooks defaulted to a "single PAGE" (same as your term 'column'?) based on some default FontSize - right?

So after you reduce the FontSize, that same page would then display like this?
Great catch. Thank you. I was wondering why the Table of Contents was normal and double checked, it uses the smaller font as default.
You got the idea. First the largest it displays side by side. Next, after 4 enlarges, the size I use.
