Touch ID not working on iOS 10 -iPhone 5s

i am also facing same issue. Issue occurred only after updating IOS 10. Also facing this issue only after restarting iphone. Means some time its work after i restart my iPhone5s

I have the same problem. iPhone 6 Plus.... nothing is helping. In the beginning I turn of Touch ID and deleted the fingerprints and after I restarted a couple of times it was working but now the same issue like before.

Any solution to this? I have exactly the same problem after updating an Iphone 5S..

I'm having the same exact problem. My iPhone 6 was working just fine. I updated to ios10 and touchid stopped working completely and I cannot add a new finger print. I tried erasing and reinstalling from icloud backup and no luck.

I'm experiencing this issue with my iPhone 6s. Strangely enough I've had the update for a few days now and touch ID was working fine before this morning, is this how it has been for everyone else? I've never had the screen replaced or anything.

Has anyone gone out to an Apple store or genius bar yet and if so what was their response/solution?

My phone is working fine now. I restore my phone and choose the setup for a new phone (no backup).

The reset "as new", doesn't work, as the Touch ID hardware failure happens before the options: as new or from backup.

Just called Apple care. We tried different options but nothing works. They need to fix this TouchID problem. As it is a password/security issue they will put it as a priority. We just have to wait...

Same problem like everybody. In my call with Apple Support they confirmed that I've a Touch ID problem, but they are not able to help yet. Who is able?
