Touch ID not working on iOS 10 -iPhone 5s

I have the same problem here in Brazil. I called to apple and they informed me that the problem is on my phone. But I am pretty sure that is not. Because on ISO 9.0.1... something, was working perfectly.

Someone could help me please?

I have the same problem on my iPhone 6 with iOS 10.0.1.

Just updated to iOS 10.0.2, at first the Touch ID became normal. After one day use of the phone, the problem appeared again....

It looks like the 10.0.2 update does not cover the Touch ID issue.

Also having this issue. Was fine on IOS 9 but as soon as I made the switch to the 10.1 it failed, updated to 10.2 and worked for 24 hours, now no matter how many restarts, Cannot get this to work.

Any solutions?

I suppose it's definitely the apple's bug.

After updated the 2nd version of ios10(10.0.2) from 10.0.1, my iPhone6 cannot active touchId on occasion. Sometimes even press power or home cannot wake the screen. I restarted the phone by press the home and power together, it's back on track again. However, the issue occurs again and again, even I restore the iPhone by itunes and set it as the new iPhone.

My iPhone buyed from Appstore of Japan has replaced the screen several times, but I think its not the hard issue. So When the 10.0.3 version come?

Had the same issue. Downgraded my 5S back to 9.3.5 without wasting any time via iTunes. Fingerprint works like a charm.

Its a software bug in iOS10 so some devices are unable to get their Touch IDs working.

Just downgrade your iOS back to 9.3.5 via iTunes which is still digitally signed by Apple as of today (10/08/16)

and your Touch ID will work just fine.

I had the same issue with the Touch ID on an iPhone 5s after updating to IOS 10. I did this: settings-general-reset-reset all settings, then when the phone rebooted I entered a new 6 digit passcode (old one was 4 digit, not sure if that was relevant) and was able to enable Touch ID and add new fingerprints. Everything is working perfectly now.
