Touch ID not working on iOS 10 -iPhone 5s

Just updated to iOS 10.1 beta 4 as it was said that this would fix my Touch ID problem.

Unfortunately this didn't solve my Touch ID problem and am still having the same problem.

Again Touch ID used to work perfectly with iOS 9.3

BLah blah blah so many solution for a problem but nothing seems to work perfectly. Hmm i discovered the solution a month back and since then posting it on all my blogs and sites where this discussion is on a flury. You actually requires to calibrate your home button as there is a bad calibration so you could perform that just by first swicthing on a app i.e weather or cslender and then holding the power button unltill the power off slide bar appears, as it shows up on screen press the home button and dont release it unless the iphone falls back to the home screen by its own this works on iphones and ipads too. I hope this discussion ends up here for those with software issue a tip for others if all the above options failed for you guyz get your home button replaced.

I recently updated my iPhone 5s to iOS 10.1 and I still cannot use Touch ID. 😟

I have same issue on 5s

Tried re-installing the iOS from the beginning but still no luck and Touch ID is still not working.

used to work perfectely with iOS 9.3

Have you tried recalibrating the Home Button as Dpkjaryal suggests?

I just read that 9.3.5 is no longer being signed so I will no longer experiment with 10 of any flavor as I want to keep my Touch ID capability.

yes I tried it couple times and problem still occurs.

I tried these two procedures:

1) turn on weather app

2) press and hold power until power off slider appears

3) release power button and press and hold home button until phone goes back to home screen

4) go to settings, try to add fingerprint and phone shows error message

or

1) turn on weather app

2) press and hold power until power off slider appears

3) power button still pressed and press and hold home button

4) phone restarts

5) after unlock by passcode phone shows error message about Touch ID

I wouldn't even care if I could turn off that ****** update nag!

After updated 10.1.1 version, my iPhone crashed when my alarm clock working. The big issue is that it still cannot activate my touchid! I've been keep updating the ios even enable the beta version, however Apple make me disappointed again and again. Now I'm trying to update to ios10.2 beta1, if get any further, I'll tell u all asap.

It's not stable. The bug still exists after a while. However, we can make sure it not the hardware issue.

I've been having the same issue with my iPhone 5s. After installing iOS 10 the fingerprint sensor wouldn't work. I down graded back to 9.3 and it works just fine.

Based on ismtlee's comment, I updated to 10.2 bata. I still have the exact same issue. Finger print sensor doesn't work now.

What a pity, so you cannot get back to 9.3 again.

Still same problem after update to iOS 10.2 beta 2.

already tried resetting recalibrating home button etc etc.

PLEASE FIX ASAP!
