Tiny font using mail in iOS 10
After updating to iOS10, the font in the body of emails is really small, too small to read. I have to zoom in, but then I have to scroll left and right to read each line. Anyone else have this problem?

I am experiencing the same "tiny font demon." Since Apple hasn't solved the problem with the native email app and no workarounds have proved effective for me, I tried several email apps and Spark by Readdle seems to do the best job rendering all text at a manageable size. It's a free app and has pretty awesome reviews, so you might want to give it a try...at least until Apple fixes the issue with its native email client.
I don't know if the moderators will allow this link to Spark in the App Store, but I'll give it a try.
Rob. I have the same frustrating problem. Font size in email AND on websites is too small and seem un-ajustable. "Increase font size" only makes the font in "Settings" appear too large. I've tried a soft reset. Is there an app to address the problem?
Hi Jimbo,
Try the email app "Spark" by Readdle. It is displaying all my emails at a reasonable size and has solid reviews. Try the web browser "Dolphin" for more readable text. Dolphin allows you to select a larger size display font in its settings. It also has solid reviews. Sorry I can't post the links here for you. It must be against community rules as they are always deleted when I try. These are both very popular apps so you shouldn't have any trouble doing a successfsearch . Let me know if they help.
Mr. Luigi
Demo! Hello, how are you? The Steelers are only 4-4, but that's tied for 1st in the AFC North. If they up their game away from home they are going to be a force to be reckoned with. :-)
How the heck did you successfully post those links? Is it because you are a Level 10 Grand Master? In any event, thanks for doing that. I hope those apps can help some folks while Apple tries to figure out why its native apps have gone bad.
Good luck this season!
Hey Mr. Luigi, everything is going very well, thank you.
I'm not sure why the links were being removed. I know that I have posted links to certain websites that mentioned certain unmentionable things (like jailbreak) and those links were removed even though what I was suggesting was something that had absolutely nothing to do with a jailbreak. Sometimes, I think it depends on who the moderator is and what they think the poster is trying to say. IMO, it can be a subjective decision at times.
My beloved Steelers have given me fits the past three weeks. I hope that it is all behind them now. Thanks for the good wishes and all the best to you as well! 🙂
Yes, I have the EXACT same problem. I was on the phone with Apple all afternoon trying different things and of course they never heard of this problem. Were you able to find a fix for this? I can't use my phone the way it is now.
Yes, I am having the same problem. Any fixes yet? Apple hasn't heard of this issue.
I would recommend downloading the Microsoft Outlook App. I think it actually works better than the Apple App and it helps with the font (most of the time).
Hi dclearyea, No luck with the native email client yet. So I'm still using the App called Spark by Readdle. It's free and very highly rated. I used Outlook for a while. But the font is larger with Spark and I have actually come to appreciate how Spark organizes my emails. I am using 5 mail accounts with Spark. 3 different Gmail accounts, Outlook and iCloud. All work fine. The link for Spark was provided by Demo several posts up. However, it is easy to find on the App Store.
Thank you! I will give it a try.
Here is a better app. https://www.easilydo.com/ works better than all I have tried similar to stock mail app and the text is large to see.
Yesterday this problem was solved for me.
I was asked by apple support to reset "all settings".
After doing this the font in outlook are readable and the text does not spill over the screen but wraps nicely.
What do you mean, "the font in outlook is readable"? Did resetting all settings help increase the font size in the native iphone email app? or just in the "outlook" app?
Try quitting Mail.
Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the Mail app until it wiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal. Then restart the app and see if it works normally.
