This answer reflects the arrogance of Apple. While the answer is basically correct, it fails to acknowledge that many systems are out there that can't do that. Moreover, Apple should also acknowledge that people can't simply update all the time by going to a new operating system, possibly having to buy also new hardware only to resolve some incompatibility issues like this sync issue. Moreover, Apple has deliberately built in these incopatibilities and is therefore also responsible for properly handling these, e.g. by informing the user well. Finally, Apple should not that there are still many systems out there that need to stay with an older OS X. I have e.g. a music studio where hardware and software form together a fully functional system, where it would be impossible to simply upgrade to OS X El Capitan without destroying the entire system. I understand that companies like Apple need to develop their systems. However, what I have absolutely no understanding for if a company such as Apple does not properly warn users from incompatibility. When I upgraded the iOS I received no warning whatsoever that there might arise an incompatibility to sync with the Mac from which I was invited to upgrade the iOS afterwards, while all information was known to the involved software (such as iTunes), which was needed to issue such a warning. Then the time window to downgrade the iOS was so short that I missed it. The result a partly destroyed music studio. An answer from Apple Support such as "Upgrade to OS X El Capitan" shows then not only arrogance and ignorance, but is a clear effrontery from Apple. Me using Apple products since 1985, i.e. having been a faithful user, also intimately knowing Apple products, is systematically turned away from the company. There may come a time I am not the only one not wanting having to do anything more with Apple products, unless, only unless such answers are made with more consideration for the situation users are actually in.
