Is there a problem with Apple Pay and ios10

I also upgraded to an iPhone 7 today... I can't do the double-click with any of the fingers I've registered with Touch ID. If I do, the screen unlocks and takes me to the home screeen. If I double-click with an unregistered finger, it opens Apple Pay.

Also, unless it's different on the new phone, in my experience it's not necessary to double-click the home button to engage Apple Pay when making a purchase... Just holding the phone over/near the card reader initiates the Apple Pay process.

I found the same issue when I upgraded to iOS 10. It turned out that my actual card registered in Wallet was no longer activated. I had to go through the activation process, and get sent the secure code over SMS. Once, I did that, my card activated, and I could again double click the home button from the lock screen to access Apple Pay.

I Had tried that. Removed and reinstalled installed all cards. Nothing. But on your advice I tried again

The problem started for me yesterday. I have done hard reset, double tapping, settings (where Apple Pay does not show up anywhere), but all I can get out of my Walle are passes— the cards have disappeared. Oddly, they are still on my watch. Pay attention Apple— you can't let this continue.

TThis may help some people. After a lot of false starts,I found that Touch ID was so efficient that I simple couldn't use the same finger to activate Apple Pay. Give it a try if you're having a problem.

I thought I had the same problem. I went to the Apple store and explained my problem. The tech showed me that the new update will automatically bring up your ipay when your near a terminal that is set up for ipay. I tried it at a couple different stores. It worked, ipay came and I had to enter my pass code to pay. give it a try.

I've been having the same problem and it is becoming an inconvenience. Double tap does bring my card up but then it fails to work. It keeps asking to put near the reader but nothing registers. Contacted the bank and they were unaware of any issues with Apple Pay or my account. Then it started working again. Then it stopped. Then it started. And now it isn't. I have noticed others using Apple devices getting stuck. Very noticeable when using the London Underground as you end up causing a queue. This does seem to parallel iOS 10. The first release since was when it seemed to start working again which then stopped with the update a couple of days ago.

MY problem was solved when I realized that the home button had become so sensitivity that a double tap open the home page before it brought up Apple Pay. Solution: double tap with an unregistered finger. I hope this helps.

It's not just one phone. I have an iPhone 6. Apple Pay worked fine until the upgrade. And yes, the "Double-Click Home Button" is on.

I Posted this before I think. But this is what worked for me. Be sure to double click with a finger that IS NOT set up for Apple ID.
