iPhone 7 front camera flickering HDR during FaceTime

well, 10.1.1 did not solve this problem.

I tested indoor with white LED and yellow LED, same thing happened, flickering.

my iPhone 6+ with 10.1.1 <-- no issue.

could it be hardware for iPhone 7+ ?

I Just updated mine to 10.1.1 and still same issues. Front camera just can't make up its mind on what brightness setting to stay on. Has to be an IPhone 7+ issue

Gah - same issue for me. iPhone 7+, 128Gb, iOS 10.1.1. Switching between the front and back cameras will resolve it for a short while but it always comes back. Only happens with the iOS camera app, if I use Camera+ its fine.

Yes me too exact same problem. This is a real serious problem that needs to be resolved asap. FaceTime is impossible!!! I use it every day! Brand new iPhone 7 256Gb

Same issue - iPhone 7 128Gb Telus. Also had the phone replaced by the Genius bar - made no difference. Flickering brightness and green image sometimes. Flickering brightness is the most common issue. Also the poor audio which has been mentioned.

Same here...problem with new update is even worst....anyone from Apple taking mins to assist us or not???????????????????????????

My. 7 plus started flickering in the photo mode would not stop all other modes worked very upsetting and finally after 15mins it quit

Solved with iOS 10.1.1 - but not by just doing a normal update.

I had to backup the iPhone 7 plus to my MAC and via iTunes restore factory settings with a download of 10.1.1.

After that a restore of the latest backup.

I have an iPhone 7+ & i have the same issue. Its switching from bright to dark without even moving the phone.

Wow. I just got my 7 plus with the 256 GB of storage and this continues to happen. It doesn't always happen but this is absolutely unacceptable since I purchased the phone BECAUSE of it's camera upgrades and features. I take a lot of photos.

If this keeps happening, it interferes with the iPhone Plus's main selling point: it's 12 megapixel camera and the awesome portrait lens.

Apple better find a solution or I will be forced to ask for my money back.

Actually I spoke with Apple technical supervisor and he asked me to take a video and send him to show him how this issue is. Could anyone take a video and upload it here or send it to Apple directly?

Yeah, I thought mine had been resolved by the 10.1 update too, but it just happened to me again when I tried to send someone a picture thru imessage. Very disheartening. I'm starting to wonder if it's a hardware problem.
