iPhone 7 missing new wallpapers

Before putting someone through all of that nonsense and wasting time did you even bother to see if there were new wallpapers? I was delivered my Jet Black iPhone 7plus Saturday after it being in Korea for days for "weather" anyhow I set it up as new from the start and there are no new wall papers. I went to the Apple store today and not one phone some running iOS 10. others iOS 10.0.1 but none with iOS 10.0.2 as I have and none of the phones had the new wallpapers. I even asked the store manager who questioned the closest genius who all said they hadn't seen them yet on a phone 8 days after release. :"(

For the record even on a restoration of backup from iCloud they would still show.

So if a user like my self has 87 apps and 1800 plus songs along with tons of data I would have wasted oh maybe 6-10 hours or so.

Being helpful is one thing but tossing out canned apple responses is downright not helpful.

I hear you teezer as if I found them at apple store I would have airdropped them to my phone hoping they stay as live photos. nothing on web is going to be the same as far as I have found.

Good Luck my friend as I am with you I only want what was advertised. This was a real bad launch and I have been through a few on just iPhones since 2007. But IMO music wise and all things considered they have the best offering.

Yes i had to upgrade from 10.0.1 to 10.0.2 and mine was delivered Saturday.

Never saw a campaign that didn't include wallpapers. I have jet black att 7+ my wife got her rose gold last monday and it came with 10.0 and it needed to update to 10.0.1 so that normal but the lack of wallpapers they use in advertising is a first as long as I can remember.

They cleaned out most of old ones too but left the 4 phones old dynamic ones from the iPhone 5 go figure. As for Apple and the help using standard repair techniques I ignore that as I pay attention to error logs and learn on my own.

Thats why I responded like I did to the poster who recommended Apples can crap.

I know they don't work for Apple and didn't mean to be rude but they have no clue as to what it may entail and 9 out of 10 times that stuff doesn't work. Hence if they researched they would know 99% of people didn't get those wallpapers plus they show up even if you do an iCloud restore... as we have all gotten new wallpaper that way correct?

I do like my phone kind of mad as I bought the new Speck Presidio clear case for my wife and I her 7 fit fine my 7+ was way too small I thought I would have broke phone trying to get it on and it made rub spots you can only see in bright sun on antenna lines top and bottom. Exactly where users posted pictures they got micro scratches from. So case less I go. That was best clear case I had found though a bit fat. I just wanted to see black not looking for protection I never dropped a phone.... oh crap just jinxed myself.

I also have this problem. Went through all the resetting and restoring and I still don't have them. Don't waste your time. I'm on software version 10.0.2.

I just received my iPhone 7 Plus last night and I noticed the same thing. I know over all it's not that big of a deal but I was looking forward to rocking those new images. It's one of my favorite things about a new iPhone and a new iOS.

Any response from Apple on this ??? Very annoying that they aren't shipped with the liquid bubbles!

I called and they first said to do the reset. When it didn't work and I

called back they told me that they aren't even wallpapers, that they are on

there only to show the graphics. Hard to believe. Definitely false

advertising. I'm angry every time I see an ad showing it.

Hi Teezer, yes very disappointing with the wallpapers. I have the black 256GB iphone 7 plus and the battery is definitely better than my 6S plus 128GB. I'd go in store with yours as it sounds like its got a fault or inferior battery.

Absolutely nuts that they don't check first before having users do resets not having a darn clue as to how much data we may have and hassle involve. A simple google shows users who made the wallpaper but it isn't live nor has resolution our phones are capable of.

Yep, teezer is absolutely right! Don't restore your iPhone. I actually went to Apple's support page to chat with them about the matter. I had to make sure that communication was clear, so they didn't misunderstand that I was actually looking for the special liquid blob that is in the artwork, and not just looking for the wallpapers that come with iOS 10, like the ocean waves. Apple Support chat was actually really helpful and we got on the same page quickly. They confirmed with me that the "liquid blob" graphic in the advertisements and on the box art are NOT available as a wallpaper. There is nothing wrong with your iPhone or with your iCloud back up and restore processes. The 'liquid blob' wallpapers simply do not exist. I know Apple released the 6S with the new beta fish on the box artwork and as a wallpaper, but for whatever reason, Apple has not made new wallpapers for iOS 10 or for the new iPhone 7 or 7 Plus, which is also a disappointment to me too, but what can you do?

If you ever want to chat with Apple, they have been pretty helpful for me.

• Go to Contact - Official Apple Support
• Click on the "Get help" link under "Talk to us"
• Then select your product (if you don't see your product listed, you can sign in and add it through your support profile)
• Then choose from the appropriate category (For the wallpaper issue I choose "iOS & Applications" and then I choose the "Topic not listed" option and typed out something like, "My new iPhone 7 doesn't have the 'liquid blob' wallpaper like shown on the box art. Is it an issue with my phone, or does it not exist?")
• Then select the Chat option and they will start an online chat with you. This really helps with communication, just in case the support team doesn't understand what you mean at first.
