Turn off calculator keyboard sound iOS 10

How do you turn off keyboard click sounds in the calculator? "Keyboard Clicks" is OFF in Settings.

iPhone 6, iOS 10

Agreed on all points. But as others have pointed out, why not have the option to disable the click? Or have the keys highlight (like other apps) to confirm the click? These would be consistent with the UI, fix the problem you describe, and provide the option so many of us seem to want.

Thank you everyone for the responses regarding third party calculators. I very much appreciate the postings. I will try out Calculator Plus from DigitAlchemy. Cheers...

Because that's really not the Apple way. You should still submit your feedback. Based on what I've seen, though, not the many people seem to care about this issue.

Best of luck.

You're right Owen. I'm using the latest ios10, and the first thing I did, was turn off all the keyboard sounds. I have sent feedback re the calculator click sounds, so hopefully if everyone that wants this feature as an option, should do the same. Maybe the next update will give the consumers, who made this company billions, the choice.

Give us the choice...... Everyone's happy

Don't give it ......... Not everyone's happy

SIMPLES

IdrissSeabridght, as you can see my reply was to Owen, but a glitch put the reply to you, (not that it matters). I am not expecting Apple to give a on/off option on every feature. My "Give us the choice...Everyone's happy" reply was about the calculator clicks, nothing else. In the meantime, I have downloaded a third party calculator and have solved my problem.

Yes, but there are many other calculator features that people think they want. If Apple included options for every one of those requests the interface would be unmanageable. It is rather selfish to say that only your request should be the option that Apple implements.

Lawrence, there are also people that know what they want, nothing wrong with that. Not sure where you are getting your words from Lawrence, I did not say that my REQUEST should be the one Apple implements nor did I expect Apple to have this super dooper calculator that suited the whole of mankind. The original post was about the click sound of the calculator. The option was on previous models and obviously Apple decided to change this option. We all have a choice to get around this and I did. End of story.

I agree...this is a feature removed by Apple that should be returned. I don't think it rises to a level of arguing "choice" and "rights"...just a simple request to return the option.

In that case, you should submit your request to the people who can do something about it....Apple. The proper link has been given a couple of times in this tread.

I have tried EVERYTHING! Seriously I've been working on this for 3 days & nothing has worked. Even called Apple Support & they had me try everything I already had. Calculator still

clicking & I use it a lot. There are many problems w iOS 10. My notes won't sync from my iPhone to Mac & I have a new iPhone 7 Plus sitting here still not activated from 2 days ago bc I have to manually email each note so I'll have them incase they don't show up in iCloud. I lost lots of notes last time when switching from iPhone 5 to 6 plus. I'm beyond annoyed.
