iOS 10 Bedtime - sleep analysis not working

I've been using the new Bedtime feature in iOS 10. The first night it showed me a graph with sleep analysis. But every other night, the Bedtime alarm wakes me up properly but there's no sleep analysis data. The days are just blank.

I havent turned the feature off or done anything else to change the settings. It's just not showing me how long I slept.

This is a bummer - I was really looking forward to this feature. Anyone else having this problem, or am I missing something?

I have found that I get consistent sleep time recorded if I place my phone face down on the night stand. However, I believe that the sleep tracking is also based on the microphone and the ambient sounds it picks up at night. For instance, when my wife is snoring loudly, my phone hears it and thinks "I'm not asleep". I haven't been able to prove this theory yet with documentation online. I can't believe Apple would put an intricate app "in play" without a full description as to how it actually works...how it actually decides on what is sleep time and what is awake time!?!? 😟.

I was also having this problem until I stopped closing the app. In other words you need to let the app run in the background. It also helps if you tell it when you are going to bed. So when the bedtime reminder comes up press down on it for a couple of seconds. You then have the option to snooze the reminder or say that you are going to bed now. It's been working for me. I hope this helps.
