CarPlay problems after iOS 10 Update

Lucky you, and that IS good general advice. Troublesome to maintain, though, with every update. In MY case, the problems are random, making it even worse. I had a good day having taken NO action today. This is what happened with 10.1...it was bad but got better. But I'll try these steps at next failure.

I did not lose recognition of the phone, just widespread wackiness. I know that's not much help in describing to a technician. I sure like it when it's there. It's just suddenly becomes undependable.

Problem went away after iOS 10.0.1 but has returned with iOS 10.2

Try resetting the setting for "restrictions" for CarPlay in your iPhone . "Settings ", "General", "restrictions" then allow CarPlay.

This was the only thing that worked. Thank you.

I have exactly same problem with my Cruze 2017.

I contacted Crevrolet's service about a firmware update. No response yet.

Dog gone. That only worked one session in my car. The problem came back the next time I started my car and listened to music. This is the pits.

How did you fix it ?

My 2017 Camaro hasn't had CarPlay work since iOS 10. Did Chevy ever come out with that OnStar update?

Same issue here! Have a 2017 Ford Edge and a brand new iPhone 7!!! Worked fine until the update. So annoying!

I also am having this problem with the 2017 Honda Accord Touring.
