iPhone 7 - Keeps Freezing!!!

I have this same problem, Apple has replaced my phone twice and no change. Their service will know nothing about it when you call in, only one acknowledged it was a common issue. They will ask you to reset and reload everything which will do nothing, I've done it 20 times at least on three different phones. One "genius" even cost me my backup because they didn't know what they were doing. Apple's service has really gone down hill in the last few years and now it seems the products are too. Best part is you can't even review their service and now they all claim to be senior advisors so their is no recourse when you get a bad one, unless you are close to a store. Anyway I have done all the trouble shooting, Apple stepped up and replaced my phone twice now, but it still does the same thing.

Mine started to act up yesterday. It seems every time the keyboard is pulled out then it would freeze. Problem is more prominent in the text msg app. Sometimes I'm wondering if it's cuz I used the magnet to mount it on the car??! Very frustrating to have to reboot every time.

Mine is about 5days old and it started to freeze on 2nd day too.

It randomly freezes for about 5seconds few times a day and also restarts by itself about twice a day...

dont know if it is software issue or hardware...

At the same time my friend uses iphone 7 about half a year and he has never seen these problems...

I was having the same problem so I contacted Apple Support and they told me to go to a computer with iTunes and restore my phone. You would need to back it up first if you want to save your things, but it worked! They said it may be a problem with the software since I started experiencing the freezing problem after I updated my phone.

I have the same issues. Intermittent freezing every few mins and I'm very annoyed plus my brightness is horrible. I tried hard reset didn't work. Sending it to Apple once I can get a hand on a spare phone

I am having the same issues. It started yesterday around 6pm when I noticed a new software update was available. Phone started acting up before I even updated. Like a fool, I updated the software thinking it would fix the bugs. Now my phone freezes every 10 seconds for 10+seconds regardless of app or area of navigation. Can't take phone calls, cannot get thru either end during freeze. To use the phone I have to exercise extreme patience. So far I've tried restoring the phone multiple times and everytime it hangs up @terms and conditions agreement. I even tried a full factory reset. No bueno! Going to the apple store to look for a fix.

I have had the exact same problem but this happens in all areas of my phone!! I have tried everything to get it fixed. I tried hard restarting a million times, restored and I even took it to the Apple Store to get it fixed and they said it was water damage when I'm sure it isn't so I'm still stuck with this problem.

hello,,,,have you ever tried changing your network provider? i am not sure whether it will work or not,its better you try to change the network provider and check whether the phone still freezes or not.

Same problem here, since 2 days randomly freezes my iPhone 7. No button gives a respons for 1 - 3 minutes. Hard reset not possible. Also calling people when not frozen does not work, people pick up trhe phone and cannot hear me. Camera sometimes black screen.

Continue to hold the Power button and press and hold the Volume down button located on the left side of your iPhone. Hold both buttons as the iPhone powers off and back on; release both buttons when the Apple logo appears on the screen.

I have this issue too, my iPhone 7 Plus is almost unusable, I've removed all the apps and backed up my iPhone to my MacBook Pro and wiped my iPhone and restored it, But I still get a the apps freezing and crashing. Also Apple carplay has become unstable and connects to my BMW intermittantly, I have to say that this is bar far the worse update I have ever installed. I'm just hoping they fix the issues soon.

I'm glad I stumbled upon this thread. I'm having many of these similar issues (phone locking up hard, camera blacking out, apps crashing, etc).

Does Apple not QA and LT their software anymore? What the **** happened to "it just works"?

It happens sometimes with the “camera app”, which is terrible because it stops me from taking pictures on specific moments, but now it’s getting worse. Now, when I try to open random apps, or click random buttons, it freezes! I have the iPhone 7+ and and I try locking the screen (with the help of the great assistive touch button), but after I unlock it, it just stays frozen. No button works, the “assistive touch” is my salvation, allowing me to restart. But it’s a recurring problem, and I want to get rid of it!

Anybody has any solutions?

Has apple done anything at all to help?!

My 7 is randomly freezing as well. Started when I updated my phone. I really don’t understand y every update makes our phones so garbage. Why do you even call it an update if all its gonna do is ruin the phone.
