Unreliable universal clipboard

I've tried using universal clipboard between my iPad Air (32 Gb Cellular) and iPhone 6S (64 Gb, UK version) and it seems really unreliable. Sometimes it works, but most of the time it doesn't (in both directions I think; currently it's working only from iPad to iPhone). I've tried turning bluetooth on and off on both devices. Other Handoff functions work fine. I'm using the iPad Air with a bluetooth keyboard but the universal clipboard still doesn't work when the keyboard is turned off. Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Thanks, but I'm referring specifically to the universal clipboard in iOS 10, for copying and pasting between iOS devices.

I can only add that Universal Clipboard is working well between my iPhone 5c and iPad Air 2 in both directions. I don't use a BT keyboard with the iPad, so I can't speak about that.

Just tried another test between iMessage on the iPhone and Notes on the iPad. Works both ways.

You would think the BT keyboard wouldn't be a problem since the iPhone can use Universal Clipboard with an Apple Watch also connected. I hope you find a solution to this.

I've been reading online that some folks have been experiencing issues with the universal clipboard. Unless someone else from the community chimes with a possible solution, my next recommendation would be to consider reaching out to Apple Support (link at the bottom of the page).

After searching through this thread >>> Universal Clipboard working one way I did actually try the switch off/switch on suggestion on my iPhone and it actually worked 😁
