Macbook Pro overheating because Mac OS Sierra

My Late 2014 MacBook pro 13 inch has been overheating since installing Sierra. At 10 minutes it is warmer than normal, at 20 minutes it is too hot to have on your lap. Opening and running a partition with el capitan does not cause overheating after an hour. Does anyone else have this problem? SMC Fan Control says it is running at 137 degrees fahrenheit.

I have no clue what you're running but throughout its lifecycle, my MacBook Pro has NEVER gone that hot without doing a single thing. It's literally sitting there warming itself up. No, 175* is way too warm for the Apple experience we've all been accustomed to. My mac has traditionally operated between 90-130*F under normal conditions and when editing etc gone to 170*+ also 175* is crazy hot to be put in your lap - it is a laptop. I agree it's gotten warmer before as well but this issue is Sierra related. I haven't changed any variable of operation except updating to Sierra. Throughout the beta cycle, there were issues related to this I kept reporting and some like the previously mentioned activity monitor check etc revealed system operations which I was able to get resolved and reported to Apple right away.

I got the same issue with my Macbook Pro 13 inch Mid 2012 the computer it's only one year old. The fan control helps a lot but, no with Mac OS Sierra. So I did a research on the Internet the new OS uses a lot graphics so I guess it's good for the new Macs that came this year, also since el capitan . Apple wants the users their macs to become obsolete like the i phones , so I downgrade to Mac OS YOSEMITE . I notice the fan control it's telling me that the cpu temperature it's not hot and it's runs faster. My advise use your mac with the operating system that came originally with your Mac but you have to be a guru do the factory reset.

I also confirm that, if the CPU is used intensively after installing Mac OSx SIERRA, and fans run intensively, you need to access and turn on iCloud. I never had iCloud before, but once activated, my CPU use went from 30% down to 1%, and as well fans stopped almost immediately. I also confirm the problem was "secd". "secd" use of CPU went from 92% to 0%. So, it's an issue of SIERRA.
