No signal iPhone 7 plus

I Was able to find an iPhone 7 plus black, worked well all day went to sleep and next morning no cell signal actual message was No Service. Tried resetting network services, remove the SIM card, resetting the phone. Tried same sim in another phone and it works. Seems to be a similar,at issue to those with the airplane mode issue. Now there is no stock of the phone I want and I'm stuck with a dead paper weigh. Any ideas?

I am dead in the water with Verizon cell phone service.

"No Service" on IPhone 7 (IOS 10.0.1 as of this morning).

Has worked fine since Saturday when I set it up. No problems except a glitch doing IOS 10.0.1 update this morning. All looked ok afterwards.

This afternoon was working fine. Took a shower, without phone, came out of shower "NO SERVICE"

Spent 30 minutes with Verizon chat support. They had me go through all the usual suspects. Turn off, take out SIM, restart, reboot, power down, etc. Then sent me to Verizon store around the corner where they tried a new SIM. Nothing,.

Restored from this morning's pre-IOS .01 update. Nothing.

Guess I'm headed to Apple store.

Happening here very frequently in NYC. I am in Brooklyn and Queens very well networked areas. This advanced LTE story is BS Verizon is promoting. LTE has been terrible! The phone goes to no service at least 4x a day.

Running an iPhone 7 Plus 128 Black with iOS 10.1 (beta). The problem seems to coincide when I use waze more than anything. I left a complaint with @applesupport on twitter, and I set up a Genius Bar appointment, gonna push them to swap it out. Even here in NYC with a 24 hour store, no appointments until Sunday Night!

Very similar issue with my 7+. Was streaming video and it suddenly stopped, even though I had a solid 2 bars of LTE (AT&T). I toggled Airplane Mode thinking to cycle the cell connection.

After turning Airplane Mode off, I could only get "no service". Googling showed this is an issue with some phones.

I tried swapping the SIM card with another phone. Nothing.

I tried resetting network settings. Nothing.

Went in to Apple Store at Polaris Mall at 10am and amazingly as I approached it found signal. 5 bars LTE!

I talked with the Apple folks there for a bit and we decided to see if held signal.

About 5 mins after leaving the mall it went back to 'No Service".

Went back to the mall at 3pm (all day with no service) and it stayed down. Showed the people and they made an appointment for me. Since they couldn't text me they told me to come back in 30 mins.

In the car I watched ti go from 5 bars LTE to No Service a few times.

At my apt time we updated to 10.0.2 and they ordered me a new Jet Black 256gig iPhone in case the update didn't help. The whole time I was in the store (5 bars LTE) it worked fine. Could not get it to loose signal no matter what I tried. Multiple Airplane Mode toggles even worked fine. I left with fingers crossed.

About 5 mins from the mall, with signal around 2-3 bars LTE it started getting VERY slow downloading a new audio book from Audible. I fired up my 6+ and downloaded the same book. 6+ reported fewer bars of LTE but it caught up and passed the 7+ while downloading the book.

When I got to 2 bars LTE the 7+ stopped downloading all together. The 6+ has long since finished. As I watched the 7+ trying to download it suddenly flipped to 'No Service' and there it has stayed. I suspect if got back to a 5 bar LTE area, it would come back.

I suspect the real issue has to do with the antenna in some way as the no service issue only comes up when I'm at 2 bars or lower. Also it seems very slow at anything under 5 bars LTE.

Hopefully the replacement arrives before too long. I've switched back to my 6+ since a phone that only works while under an antenna isn't terribly useful 😟

Other than this, I love the 7+.

One other observation, when it did come back in the presence of strong LTE (5 bars) it does so very slowly. About 5-10 seconds of "searching". When popping a sim card into my 6+ or toggling airplane mode it picks up signal almost instantly.

Direct from MacRumors forum member @Jimbo1mcm

"My steps to perform the "fix"

  1. on the phone, turn off LTE voice. leave it as data only
  2. turn off wifi calling under the phone settings menu (probably doesn't matter but did it anyways)
  3. log into your My Verizon account and turn off the HD Voice add on. (Manage products and apps > Manage your products) > click remove from account
  4. wait the specified 15-30 mins
  5. reset network settings on the phone
  6. once its time, go back into the account and add HD Voice back onto the account.
  7. turn on LTE Voice/Data again in the phone settings menu

Ok folks, it seemed to work for me tonight. Lets pray this is it!!!!"

I have the same problem. Verizon iPhone 7 Plus. I lose service and GPS multiple times during my commute. The phone suddenly says No Service and my GPS app says it is using my approximate location (since the GPS also drops out). It is very strange that this thread was marked as solved by a level one forum member who simply wrote "I have the same problem..." How do you mark the thread as unsolved? Also, I called apple care today and as of 9/26/2016 they are still "unaware" of this issue. I'm going to start a chat session with them and paste the link to this thread for them to read before I let them say anything else.
