No signal iPhone 7 plus

I Was able to find an iPhone 7 plus black, worked well all day went to sleep and next morning no cell signal actual message was No Service. Tried resetting network services, remove the SIM card, resetting the phone. Tried same sim in another phone and it works. Seems to be a similar,at issue to those with the airplane mode issue. Now there is no stock of the phone I want and I'm stuck with a dead paper weigh. Any ideas?

I had a conversation with an Apple senior adviser, and he instructed me to just bring it in to an Apple Store and either return or exchange or replcace it under warranty. Because this phone is still in the 14-day return window, I think I'm going to do the former.

I hope that this is an issue that can be resolved via software. I don't like having a brick for a phone!

I am almost certain at this point that this is a software/carrier issue. My wife's iphone 7 is experiencing the exact same symptoms. For the past few days I've been on the phone with AppleCare and Verizon technical support. Apple technical support apparently has no idea about these issues. Verizon technical support mentioned that there log is growing and suggested for people to call technical support tier 2 and reference a ticket number.

Verizon wireless technical support tier 2 phone number 866-221-4096

reference issue tracking number 102095-091716

As of yesterday Verizon said they are working with Apple engineers to resolve the issues.

I just tried the tip today turning off/on Verizon end. Will Be testing it today.

The only remedy so far is not using VoLTE and having LTE for data only. what urks me more, is verizons aggressive promotion of advanced LTE. i do not see any progression in the NYC outer boroughs. Brooklyn & Queens. Even Staten Island or jersey.

I had an appointment at the 24 hour Apple Store this morning I missed out. after reading people's phone swaps didn't help, im waiting it out I guess?

I had this problem as well. iPhone 7 128GB Verizon. Switched out for another one at the Apple Store BUT KEPT THE SAME SIM CARD and the ISSUE PERSISTED.

I called Verizon. The tech and I now suspect it is the SIM card. He is mailing me out a new one (I'm too lazy to go to the store) but I'm sure this is it. It happened on 2 phones after all and the only common denominator is that SIM card.

Someone in an earlier post noted that swapping to another iPhone fixed it but I wonder if that person used a new SIM or kept the old one.

I had the same issue, I also have Verizon my GPS would stop working, go from LTE to 1x, then no service at all including not being able to make phone calls. I went to apple store, they did a reset n the phone, did not help, by the way I was the second person in with this issue. I was then told to do another reset after backing my phone to iTunes with the volume button and the on/off button with the assistance of Apple Care. That did not work, I was told that I would get a replacement. I called Verizon and was on the phone with them for 2 hours they said, that they were not completely sure of the problem but, one other person in my zip code had same problem. I was told that my area was marginal coverage, that the poor reception could be from foliage on the trees and come fall it could improve. I also was told that it could be the antenna placement in the phone too. I then called back Apple care and explained the problem and was told that I was the first person that they had this issue. They are sending me a replacement. I thought I was the only one with this issue but, after checking in here, I guess its a real issue, I just hope it is not the antenna, a simple update would correct it.

II've tried everything. I'm on my SECOND 7 plus from the Apple Store (Verizon service), and it's still happening. I've done all resets mentioned in this thread, and even spoken to a Verizon representative. nobody has a clue.

IT happened to me this morning for he second time at the same time, same spot second day in a row on line at my Starbucks store. Then twice on my way to work using Waze. So yes it occurs while using GPS, but also when using a "pay" app?? This is getting real annoying....
