ios 10 camera bug

Same since updating to 10.1.1

I have camera problems since taking iPhone 10.1.1 update. My image capture seems to be working But I can no longer import any photos to iPhoto on my Mac. I have found other discussions having same problem since taking this update. None of the discussions has resolved my problem yet. I will follow this one too.

I don't think this is a camera problem.....it's an update problem....Apple Please Fix !

I just had the same problem with the black screen. I force quit the camera app and relaunched it. It has worked since doing that.

I also have this problem and the swipe to video and back to picture does fix it. I've noticed it almost always happens when I try to take a pic from the lock screen by swiping right. If I have unlocked the phone and the. Try to take pix I believe it never happens. I've never had to reset the phone to fix it, however. Unlocking it first and then swiping to video and back to picture works every time.

But this is clearly a bug.

I have read a lot of these 'bugs' lately. I think this is a Bug and the best thing to do is wait for a iOS update to resolve the problem. If you suspect a hardware problem please go to the Apple store as they can tell you what to best.

No, maybe it is not a bug. After I met this problem, I sent it back to the Apple maintenance. They told that my iphone is not working as well. The problem came from the hardware(machine) not software(system). So they returned me a renewed one! The quality of iPhone 7 is bad. Disappointed!

Exactly my issue and workaround. Not happy, this happened after last update that said it contained updates for iPhone 7 cameras. Hmmm, coincidence? Get it fixed Apple or getting a Pixel!

I have iphone 6 s and its camera does not work on either side. I tried all the ways to fix it from restarting the phone to reseting the setting, but non of them did response. Is it related to ios 10? What should i do now?

I had a similar problem with my 5c. After upgrading, the camera would not work, except by swiping to time-lapse and then back to camera. I connected my phone to my macbook air, and Itunes notified me that software was out of date. So I reinstalled ios 10.1.1 through Itunes, camera now works perfectly fine.

I'm having the same problem too. I have an iphone 7 plus and my camera is working perfectly fine until I upgraded to 10.1.1 The back camera only gives me a black screen. Tried restarting the phone and it worked for a while until you close the app. The next time it happened, restarting doesn't work anymore. It seems mine gives me a black screen for video, photo, portrait and square. It works with pano, slow-mo and time-lapse.
