Q: iPhone 7 bluetooth connectivity

Finally someone with the same issue as me! I had noticed the bluetooth icon flashing when I was on the phone setting up ApplePay with my CC company but I just figured it was from restoring my Apple Watch. Then when I left work I set up my iPhone 7 to work with my stereo's handsfree in the car. It stayed connected for a little bit but then it randomly disconnects and refuses to reconnect. It does this on occasion with my Apple Watch as well. Yesterday I feel like I had a fluke using my BT headphones since they worked for a good 45min before I turned them off.

I've been talking with AppleSupport on Twitter and I've done the steps they told me to do. I've reset the network settings and I've unpaired and repaired the stereo several times. The only thing I haven't done is a full iOS restore which seems odd considering it's a brand new iPhone. I'm hoping that it's just an annoying bug in iOS 10.0.1 and that an update will come out in a few days to fix it. Worst case it's a faulty BT chip and I need to swap the phone out for a new one.

My iPhone 6 didn't have any BT connection issues.

I Agree, ive had an iPhone 6 for the last 2 years and had no issuea with Bluetooth connectivity what so ever. Since upgrading to the iPhone7, I have noticed an issue with connecting to my vehicle (Ford Focus 2015) and also my wireless Bose speaker. I do hope it's a bug that gets fixed soon as I rely on my hands free kit daily

I've had this same issue too. It's definitely related to iPhone 7. I never had any problems before this.

After connecting successfully, it will randomly disconnect and stop playing music. Other times it fails to even pair properly, and then I have to delete the phone and re-add it. It typically always works, but it's becoming super annoying having to delete and repair.

I've found when it allows me to reconnect manually that it'll stay connected to my stereo. Sometimes it'll give me the error that it can't find the device when I'm sitting right next to it.

I thought the 10.0.2 update would help but it didn't.

It seems the bluetooth for my Honda Civic 2016 Touring model is having a lot of issues. One of the problems I'm facing is this one: when I'm at a call conversation over bluetooth, suddenly the sound gets messy, with a little distortion, I found out that if I transfer the call to the iPhone, and then back to the car's bluetooth the call becomes clear again. This problem do not happen at any Android phone I have tested so far.

The other problem concerns playing WhatsApp voice messages over any bluetooth using my iPhone, the sound is messy, skipping the sound, it works pretty bad, I discovered that if I play a video message before, and then play the voice message it works well.
