iPhone 7 bluetooth connectivity

I recently upgraded to the iPhone 7, and have had intermittent connectivity issues with Bluetooth pairing, primarily in my vehicle (Kia Optima) but also occasionally with my bluetooth speaker (Jawbone Big Jambox). With my iPhone 6S I could always count on turning on the car or speaker and it would connect without fail. Now, my car bluetooth might pair one out of every 10 times. My speaker will pair about 75% of the time. When I try to re-pair the car (a far larger issue) often the iPhone won't see the handsfree device under its discovery section in Bluetooth. This isn't happening with my wifes iPhone 6S (it's also on iOS 10.0.1). Is anyone else having this issue?

At least we can rule out a BT chip problem: all five of my family's new phones (iPhone 7) cannot see or pair with our JBL speakers, which used to be a snap with our iPhone 6s. Let's hope an iOS update soon fixes the problem.

I too drive the Kia I am having the same problem just upgraded to an iPhone 7 Plus it also does not want to connect to other Bluetooth that I had with the 6 plus

I spent about an hour on the phone with Verizon I too am having issues with connectivity on Bluetooth I drive a Kia it drops the phone and also won't connect to Bluetooth it appears that it is a hardware issue i'm thinking about returning my phone going back to the 6

I'm having the exact same issue with my Subaru Forester - My Iphone 5s automatically connected, but I have to manually connect my Iphone 7 - very frustrating.

How does one update to iOS 10.2? When I check my Iphone 7 for updates, it shows I have iOS 10.1 and there are no other updates?

I had the same problem but put iOS 10.2 beta release on my iPhone 7 and the problem has been resolved completely. You could try the beta version or wait for iOS 10.2. It's on release 6 so it shouldn't be to far from being the final version

I had a look at beta but you have to sign up to testing new apple updates ect...couldn't see how to just update software?

have got exactly the same problem with my mazda 6.had no problem with my iphone 6 but with my iphone 7 it seems like it's trying to connect to every single bluetooth device that's in range where the only things connecting should be the car and the phone.could it be possible it's trying to connect to my iphone 6 still?

I've had similar issues, I had restored from by iPhone 5s backup to my new iPhone 7. Ford in car system Would not connect, renamed my phone and it worked.

On my iPhone 7 Plus I had to go to Settings<Bluetooth<Choose "bose wireless headphones"< Choose "forget this device" and then went to the Bose App to re-pair.

Did you remove former iPhone from the car's multimedia? I could not connect until I removed my old phone. ...then you put in the new iphone info.
