iPhone7 - Home button - Freeze

Hi all,

I'm using a iphone 7 (black 128GB), iOS 10.0.1

I'm not able to reproduce it but it happened twice. The home button stops responding. I feel the taptic click but nothing responds. Also all the other "hardware" button dont respond. (the power button, mute of volume up /down) after a couple minutesI see all the actions I did ( pressing the home, mute vol up ect) and then the phone responds again.

(The screen keeps responding all the time when the other button don't)

I setup my iphone 7 as a new Iphone.

HI. There is one simple solution to this problem. It is not a software or hardware problem. Its the problem with the carrier. Just change your SIM card you are using and you ll find your iPhone working fine again.

I had the same behavior just today -- all the screen touches worked, and in fact I tapped on a notification when it showed up, then used the "back" behavior to get back where I was. However, none of the physical buttons, including the power button, do anything.

The force-reboot (hold down power + volume down) did work. I didn't actually wait long enough to see if it ever came back.

Hey,

iPhone 7 Black 256GB

I've experienced the same problem as well, my input commands would lag and then suddenly after a short time the phone would complete all the actions I took (buttons I pressed or touch screen commands I made).

Example the phone would be unresponsive if I do a double click to switch windows, if nothing happens I would try to use the back button on safari however at this point the screen is still in safari.

After awhile the phone would try to catch up to all the previous commands I issued it would initiate the double tap I did then go back to safari to go and do the back button I tried to use, and other buttons I tried to press would start to catch up as well.

Tonight the phone screen would not wake up no matter what hard buttons I pressed nothing happened even though the music was still playing in the background.

It could be a software bug in IOS 10.

Let me know if you guys found a solution to this bug.

I hope its an iOS 10 software issue I would hate to think that the new A10 quad core cpu is causing this lag.

From what I understand the CPU has 2 powerful cores on standby for demanding applications and heavy workloads while the 2 lesser cores are always in use for simple day to day tasks.

Could this problem be coming from when the cores are switching from the lesser to the powerful cores or vice versa?

Although when the frozen blank screen / lag happened on my iPhone 7 I was not really doing anything demanding or having games open on my iPhone it was just listening to music and having safari browser in the background.

iOS 10.0.2 just launched hopefully this new patch will address this issue.
