iPhone7 - Home button - Freeze

Apple replace my Iphone and the buttoms still freezing. So angry and disappointed with the iPhone 7. Somebody know if this is an software problem or a iPhone problem?

Same here. Iphone 7+ 128GB. Home button freezes and catches up to itself after a couple minutes. Currently 10.0.2

Yes, I have a 7 Plus 256. It's happened to me twice and I've done a hard reset both times and it has worked after that but it's annoying. One time it was on but I could not access any of my apps. I'm hoping they get it fixed soon!

The first time it happened I thought it was a random bug. Then it happened a second...third.. fourth... lost count... 😟

Yesterday, my phone froze for an extended period of time ... 30 minutes... normally no big deal but I had to pick up my son from one location and then my daughter at another location. On top of that I had an important phone call that I was waiting for regarding work.... OUCH !!! I stick with Apple for the convenience.. simplicity and HIGH Quality !!!!! HOWEVER, I have recently noticed more and more issues with my other Apple Products.. my new MacBook Pro for example is having some weird issues as well... oh by the way spent $3K ... I don't mind paying for quality. But if the quality drops off then I do have an issue as a consumer. Come on Apple get your act together if you want to keep a loyal customer like me.

I keep having the same issue. First time really freaked me out. Usually only lasts a minute or two. When will apple fix this?!?

I previously encountered this on ios 10.0.2 on iphone 7 plus. After upgrading to 10.0.3 it seems to be resolved for a while. Now this issue reappear again on latest 10.1.1 and home button & power button freeze when I'm accessing my icloud notes.

I have bought an iPhone 7 plus on October 31, the same problem has been repeated 5 times. The only what helps is a hard reset

I got this problem too! Can't reproduce it on a regular basis but I've experienced it a couple times now. I got a iPhone7 256GB with iOS 10.1.1

Yeah this happened to me also this is 4 times it has happened i this this is an software bug all the hardware button locks and pressing it makes no response until a minute or so and then all the command i gave to the button occurs man!! Find some solution apple please i bought this only a month ago

Not an expert on this but have just had the same problem 30 minutes ago, if the external buttons don't work at all and can't turn on your phone using those buttons, then plug it in to you charger and it will turn on, so you can unlock it. To fix it I figured I'd into settings then to General, then to the home button setting, then I would fiddle with the 3 vibration options and click done. After my phone screen glitches for a second and i tested out the external buttons and they are working again. idk if it will work for you all but worked for me. Try this before making a trip to the apple store.

I have the same issue. When I got my phone on the early Oct, so many times freeze happened, so I took my phone to an apple retail store, the technician running exam my phone and seems something wrong, but no exactly explanation, and then, he give me a new one for me... But today, this things happened again.... I can't believe I'm the only one got this problem. Home/Lock button no retraction to lock screen, even cannot shut down the system. waiting after 5- 10 mins, it turns back itself.
