iPhone 7 GPS constantly changing in Maps

Is anyone having issues with GPS on the iPhone 7? In Maps, my "location" (i.e., blue dot) is jumping all around my current location. It doesn't seem to be getting a lock on my actual GPS location. I have noticed that it also affects other apps that use GPS.

I had this same problem with a black iphone 7. Did _everything_ I could find online to fix the problem. After resetting to factory and still having the GPS location jump around (by miles sometimes), I decided to try the iOS 11 beta 3. That seems to have fixed it. It no longer bounces around. I have not yet tried to move in a car with iOS 11 beta 3 yet. But it seems to be fixed.

I have a rose gold 7 plus, on iOS 10.3.3. I first noticed the "GPS drift" on Pokemon Go, and now my navigation is insane. The route 'wanders' all over the place, the perspective on the screen moves around, the directions vanish periodically with "Proceed to the route" both in print on the screen, and through Siri.

From what I've read here so far, I guess I'll take it to the GB for a replacement.

Hi,

As you mentioned in the earlier post that after installing OS11 beta issue was resolved.

Since my location shows 1/2 mile away from my current location and current location is not stable and almost keeps moving around in blue circle around current location which describes accuracy of GPS.

Need to know if issue seems to be with hardware or Software.

I did not installed i OS 11 but when i am in a room or inside a building it shows me away.

But when in open area it catches the location.

Inside the room GPS status app shows me horizontal accuracy of about greater then 1000 m and shows the Bad Fix.

inside the buildings in open area it shows good accuracy of 8 to 20 m.

I tried different service provider but issue is still the same.

I don't think if apple store replaces the device then also it will be resolved ?

The day before yesterday, I spent close to two hours on chat with Apple Support, and they had me do all kinds of resets, up to and including an iTunes full restore of the iPhone, all to no avail. They even brought in a supervisor to assist me. At the end, they concluded I should take it to the Genius Bar, so I have an appointment to go in tomorrow.

Not sure if you're a Verizon customer, but there appears to be an issue with the cellular signal dropping unexpectedly with iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. A Verizon technical support representative confirmed the problem and stated there's an open ticket with Apple. Users are reporting the issue from various parts of the country: Texas, South Carolina, Massachusetts. Here's the thread: Re: No signal iPhone 7 plus

Hopefully it's just a software patch that can be pushed out by Apple.

So far, my replacement phone is better. In some locations, my location moves around a little bit. But it isn't bouncing around several miles like the old phone did. I am keeping a watchful eye on it and hoping that the new phone won't start acting like the old phone in a few more days.

On my old phone, I noticed that the location services icon at the top would frequently flicker off. Every time it did this, my location would completely jump off of the screen in Maps. It was also draining my battery because it was constantly resetting my location. Hopefully yours isn't doing that as well.

Sounds like you've got a good replacement. Mine's not as bad as your original one was - it jumps around between my house and neighbouring houses a bit but we're only talking about a few 10s of yards, if that. It's just that my old 6S Plus was rock steady when it had locked on to my current position.

I used Waze to navigate to an address a few miles away this morning and it was fine, so I don't think it's worth getting it changed at the moment, unless it gets a lot worse.
