I'm not sure if I did something to mouse pad setting, command key + mouse left won't work to open link to a new tab. Anyone know how to fix this? Not sure if this is Sierra related problem but it worked before I updated to Sierra.

FWIW, I don't know why it's not working for you. It works for me on three different Macs all running Sierra. Just go to System Preferences > Accessibility > Keyboard and check Sticky Keys.

Yes, it is on. Try tapping a command (not keep pressing the command key just tap a key once) and click any hyperlink and let me now if the link you clicked opens in a new tab.

Yes, I know. That method is useful when you use mouse. I usually do not use mouse when I use MacBook Pro.
What do you propose I click with if not a mouse or a trackpad?
With left click with mouse. Command key once and left click.
As I keep saying, that works for me. And on three different Macs. an iMac, MacBook Air and a 2015 MacBook.
I'm done saying it works for me.

FWIW, it does on my 2013 MacBook Air and 2015 MacBook using the trackpad as I've mentioned a few times. It's possible you both have a problem but the feature wasn't removed.
I thought of 2 questions…
1. Are you using a non-US keyboard?
2. With Sticky Keys enabled, does the key (Command in this case) display on the top right of your screen?

Are you using any third-party keyboard enhancers or extra gestures program? Such as BetterTouchTool, Magic Prefs, TextExpander etc?
You shouldn't have to press the command key twice.

Create a new user and test.
Boot into Safe Mode and test.
Maybe I'm the only one with working Sierra installs. Of the three of my Macs running Sierra, all three work either clicking on a link with a mouse or tapping on the link with the trackpad.
When you say "work", do you mean you're able to open a new tab when you press the command button ONCE, release it, and click on a link?

I've done it with six browsers, 3 release and 3 developer versions, also works in Mail.
