Command + click to open link to new tab won't work (Sierra)

I'm not sure if I did something to mouse pad setting, command key + mouse left won't work to open link to a new tab. Anyone know how to fix this? Not sure if this is Sierra related problem but it worked before I updated to Sierra.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, macOS Sierra (10.12)

Go to safari preferences, and reenable the Cmd+Click works for me after having this issue as you do

It was already checked in the first place, and it's not working either. Additionally, does it let you cmd + clik and open a new tab in Chrome?
