No audio - Win 10 on iMac Retina 27

I have set up a 2015+ iMac 27 Retina with Windows 10 on an external flash drive (Samsung T3)

The bootcamp support software installer says "this mac is not supported" or the like, despite being the latest and greatest bootcamp release that claims to support this machine. However, I did install the drivers in the folder and the Mac is fine - except no audio out.

When I open the Sound devices panel, there are 6 instances of "Digital Display Audio" listed (AMD High Definition Audio Devices) that are all "not plugged in", then a "Digital Audio (S/PDIF)" item that is enabled and clearly has signal going through it.

I have tried reinstalling Cirrus drivers, and all manner of other things - any ideas?

Thanks!

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

You mention two different versions - 6.0.6136 and 5.1.5640.

5.1.5640 supports

Post Date: Feb 11, 2014

File Size: 925.6 MB

System Requirements

  • MacBook Air (11-inch & 13-inch, Early 2014)
  • MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch & 15-inch, Mid 2014)
  • MacBook Air (11-inch & 13-inch, Mid 2013)
  • MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch & 15-inch, Late 2013)
  • Mac Pro (Late 2013)
  • iMac (21.5-inch & 27-inch, Late 2013)
  • Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1, 64 bit

which supports a 2013 iMac.

Neither version seems to be correct

For a Late 2015 iMac 27 inch (Model iMac 17,1), the version I get is

<ProductVersion>6.0.6237</ProductVersion>

Can you switch to OSX, run BC Assistant and download the BC6 driver package to a USB2 flash drive using

User uploaded file

Post the Product version and then run setup.exe from the USB after you switch to Windows.
