Call audio routing problem after ios 10 installed

Hello,

i have an iphone 6s and recently installed ios10.

After this installation there is a problem with my audio call routing.

Especially when i answer a call or i make one, i have to double tap on speaker button

so i can hear the other guy from my headset and the other guy can hear me to.

I've already set the call audio routing to automatic and tried to reset all settings to my iphone,

but the problem persists.

I wonder if anyone else has the same problem as i have.

iPhone 6s, iOS 10

Hi norm123,

Thanks for your try to help me.

As i wrote before the problem occured after i 've installed ios10.

Before with ios9 everything was perfect.

So i think maybe there is something refering to software problem,

because it happens occasionally and especialy after i have plugged in handfree or paired a bluetooth.

That's why i have fully reset my iphone but the problem persist.

Dear Pantelis2008,

I have the same problem too. This problem started only after updating to iOS 10.

I tried Apple Support. Their input for resolving this problem did not help. They asked me to visit the Apple service center, but I wonder how the service center will be able to help in this case - this appears to be a software issue. This problem does not occur with a bluetooth headset.

I reported this bug to Apple through their bug reporting program, but so far I have not heard back from them

I have this same issue. When now I'm using Google Navigation even though I enabled the voice enabled to play over Bluetooth and as a call but it only comes out the speaker And the call audio is set to automatic. and I have an iPhone 6 and it started when I updated to iOS 10. Never had a problem until I updated. There has to be some type of fix

Same problem, with an in-car unit. Used to work, but no longer routes properly. I tap on the screen to receive the call, it receives the call but it goes to the phone speakers rather than the car speakers (via bluetooth connection). Next time I am in the car I will try setting to 'bluetooth' rather than 'automatic' but I am afraid I will forget to switch back when I get out of the car and thus will miss calls. Software fix needed, apparently.

I've been experimenting the exact same problem. I need to tap the speaker phone to hear the audio from a call. The end user will always hear me. I called apple and they ask if I do my update trough WiFi. I do. I was told to plug my phone in iTunes and do an update there. Surprisingly iTunes had an update once it was wired trough my mac air. Once the software update. The problem seem to have been resolved. The next day it was back. I've decided to stop by my local Apple Store and saw an iPhone tech. The only solution he had was to restore the phone to it factory setting once that was done the audio routings issue seem to be resolved. But I lost all my data. Once I got home I decided to restore my

Phone to the previous backup I had in my iTunes. So far the audio issue is fix. Hopefully it does not come back since my phone is over a year old and apple won't replace it.

I had what appears to be this problem which resulted in a caller or callee being audible on my end, but they couldn't hear me. the solution was to restart the phone - 6 times a day.

The apple support team were very helpful. We had several calls that lead me through and backup, wipe and restore from iTunes, this did not work. A wipe and install as new phone, then re-add all apps, this worked for a couple of days then went bad again. I have reset my network setting, done a factory reset, no dice. All since 10.0 (and still with 10.1 and now 10.1.1).

Eventually I found the audio call routing was set to automatic and it made me think... is this why it decides to switch off one or both ends of audio for me? (There is usually a tell tale crackle in my wired headset before it stops).

So I have now set this to speaker to see whether this stops the **** thing "automatically" offering no audio from speaker, bluetooth or wired headset.

A total pain.

Would be simpler to fix if it was more reproducible.

Shame really. before iOS 10, iPhone has been a great phone. Now, it's more of an 'i' 😟
