macOS Sierra with Java.
Remote access for my company relies on Java, as I sign into my remote desktop I am getting an internal MFC error out of Java. Worked fine before the OS upgrade. Any ideas ?

Thanks for the info on 10.12.1. I have installed the Beta version and can confirm that the Java based problems I was having with MoneyDance have dissapeared and I have not encountered (so far) any other problems in the few applications I have which use Java.
Are there meanwhile a solution availabele?
The temporary solution is 10.12.1 16B2338c , the latest post GM release beta.
I have same problem since I installed Sierra
Same here - with HOBLink JWT. JDK 8 101 and 102. It only happens on the machine I upgraded to Sierra. My laptop that I didn't upgrade works fine.
do you have to use any kind of PKI card to sign into your remote desktop?
I do and I had to switch enablers
It's strange, if you go on pressing caps or lock caps keys, after 4-5 attempts and pressing "continue" every time, it starts working normally...
Hey - you're right! It took more like 20 times for me but eventually it started working.
Another tip - if you are stuck trying to enter your password because pressing Shift triggers the bug, try this
I have a solution form my employer (uses HOBlink) that worked for me. Under System Preferences > Keyboard, hit the Modifer Keys button. Then change the action for the caps lock key to "no action" and save it. then change it back to "caps lock" and save again. Bizarre - but worked for me.
Waiting to fix the real problem it worked for me this way: I press caps lock and I leave it on. (have to press continue in the warning message) . Then I press shift key and I hold it down, and I press continue as many times as it's needed (holding shift down), After 6-7-8 times, it fixes
Great - Many Thanks - this helps for the time being.
I have the same issue with Blackboard chat. Chat will open, and I can type in the text field, but the minute I use the shift key or any special key (option for cut/paste), it crashes. I am running Java Version 8 Update 101 (Build 1.8.0_101-b13.)
I have attached the screen shots from the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have 9 more weeks of class and need the chat function desperately. The issue only happened when I upgraded to Sierra on my (2013) MacPro 13 w/retina - (another one with an i7)
Look at the answer from strad23 - it works.
Thanks - I was able to get around my issue by installing Sierra 10.12.1 Beta (16B2548a)
When you get that error press continue and then click command + shift button simultaneously. you will get the same window with the error. keep pressing continue and then it will work. I got that working. This is not a permanent solution but needs to be done every time the error comes.
